Restaurant Review – Telly’s Restaurant (Epping, New Hampshire)

Telly’s Restaurant in Epping offers classic Italian-American dishes along with steaks, seafood and burgers in a casual setting. They have a full bar with TVs tuned to the latest sports events. Alex and I gave them a try one Saturday afternoon. After a couple of appetizers he ordered the chicken fingers, since we recently saw that they were in a top ten list on line, and I ordered chicken piccata. We also ordered a wood fired pizza just to give it a try.

Interior

Mozzarella sticks very standard – do not recommend

Firecracker shrimp with breaded fried Jalapeño peppers exceptional

Alex’s chicken fingers standard fare not worthy of the hype

Chicken piccata not to my liking

Pizza – crust too thick and doughy, sauce insipid

Taste Test – Goat Milk

Meyenberg Dairy out of California is the nation’s premier supplier of goat milk and associated products. I am not an avid milk drinker but I do use it on cereal quite often. I prefer the richness and flavor of goat milk compared to cow milk and purchase the UHT product when I see it in the market. I gave Alex a blind taste test to see which he preferred.

Blind taste test

Alex an avid milk drinker was able to pick out the more cooked flavor of the UHT processed goat milk and did not like it. It would be interesting to see if fresh goat milk would make a difference for him
