Taste Test – Mezzetta Sweet Cherry Peppers

I keep these sweet cherry peppers from Mezzetta on hand as snacks and I was finally able to have Alex give them a try. They are a favorite snack of mine and give them a 10 out of 10 but lets see how Alex likes them.

Alex does not like vinegary flavors so his facial expression tells the story.

The peppers are tasty and sweet but the vinegar bite is very strong. I love how when crunching down on a seed there is an explosion of vinegar in your mouth.

Taste Test – Setton Farms Extra Large Premium California Pistachios

I saw this bag of pistachios and decided to pick it up since pistachios are one of my favorite nuts and I was intrigued by the claims on the package. Setton Pistachio started nearly  50 years ago and is Located in the heart of the San Joaquin valley in California. It is one of America’s largest pistachio growers and processors. The product is fancifully packaged in a burlap bag. The taste and texture of the product is no different than what you will find in any supermarket brand. The difference is that all of the nuts are large in size. When you purchase supermarket nuts you will find a range in size with the largest being similar to what you will find in the Setton product.

The benefit of getting only the large size pistachios does no warrant the extra cost

Taste Test – Goat Milk

Meyenberg Dairy out of California is the nation’s premier supplier of goat milk and associated products. I am not an avid milk drinker but I do use it on cereal quite often. I prefer the richness and flavor of goat milk compared to cow milk and purchase the UHT product when I see it in the market. I gave Alex a blind taste test to see which he preferred.

Blind taste test

Alex an avid milk drinker was able to pick out the more cooked flavor of the UHT processed goat milk and did not like it. It would be interesting to see if fresh goat milk would make a difference for him
