One of my favorite appetizers when I am in Chinatown or at a more authentic Chinese restaurant is chicken feet. I love the gelatinous texture reminiscent of the middle portion of a chicken wing. Alex had never tried them so when I saw some in the market I picked up a package.

Alex was a little apprehensive but enjoyed them after trying. He probably would not like them as well braised.

Thetford Castle in Thetford, England is a Medieval motte and bailey castle in the town of Thetford in the area of Norfolk, England. My sister and brother had some business in Portugal so I decided to join them for a very quick dash for a impromptu family reunion.
