The Famous Amos story began in 1975 at a bakery on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California. Inspired by a family recipe, founder Wally Amos perfected his chocolate chip cookie. Their homemade signature helped them gain fame just by word of mouth. Alex and I both enjoy chocolate chip cookies and have sampled these tiny little nuggets several times. They are a good tasting standard cookie and the chocolate chips are actually very good. We would rank them somewhere between standard mass produced supermarket cookies and more refined artisan chocolate chip cookies.
