Wiswall Falls Mill Site – Durham, New Hampshire

The Wiswall Falls Mill Site in Durham, New Hampshire is a charming area within the John Hatch Park along the Lamprey River.

The site contains the remains of a 19th century mill which burned down in 1883. The mill was a major industrial site for the town of Durham but now resides in a pleasant rural area of quiet repose.

Folletts Brook Wildlife Sanctuary – Newmarket, New Hampshire

Folletts Brook Wildlife Sanctuary in Newmarket is a pleasant little are perfect for a relaxing weekend stroll through fields and woods. It is an important tributary into Great Bay and a birding hotspot. One group reported sighting 63 species of birds on one afternoon stroll. The site is easily accessed off NH Route 152.

Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge (Cornish, New Hampshire & Windsor, Vermont)

The Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge spans the Connecticut River between the towns of Cornish, New Hampshire and Windsor, Vermont. It was built in 1866 and replaced three previous bridges on the site all of which were destroyed in floods. It has been repaired or refurbished several times over the years. It is the longest wooden covered bridge in the United States and the longest two span covered bridge in the world.

The Shattuck Inn Facility Review – Jaffrey, New Hampshire (Wedding of Melinda Demers and Jeffery Goodreau)

Our niece Mindy was getting married in September of 2019 and invited us to the wedding at the Shattuck Inn function facility in Jaffrey, New Hampshire.
