the Edward N. Doggett Town Beach is located next to the Squam River Covered Bridge in Ashland, New Hampshire. The small beach is open to all visitors for a small fee ($4.00 for non residents).
There is parking across the street.

The village of Potter Place in Andover, New Hampshire was named after Richard Potter a famous magician and ventriloquist.
The railway station still stands in its original location and now houses the Andover Historical Society’s museum.
If you are looking for a great view of the falls from the Canadian side you can do no better then the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
As a gift for Rita’s mother we booked a room on the 17th floor overlooking the falls:
The view was spectacular and we all spent time by the window watching the falls especially at night when they were lit up with multi-colored lights.
The suite we had was spacious and the amenities of the hotel were what you would expect from Hilton.
We all enjoyed the special treat of our stay here.
The Northstar Lodge and Resort in Killington, Vermont is a nice mid range hotel just a few miles from the ski resort and summer adventure park.
There is an outdoor heated year-round pool and a small game room.
The rooms and hotel were clean and comfortable albeit a bit worn. A great deal for the price and conveniently located at the foot of Mount Killington.
In addition to the mountain top ski resort there is an adventure park perfect for summer vacations.
Nearby attractions like miniature golf,
and the town of Rutland, Vermont provide ample opportunities for recreation and activities.
If you are the outdoors type all sorts of options are available.
