Not our name, but our passion
Mount Saint Mary College in Hooksett was a Roman Catholic college for women founded in 1935. The facade of the college as it sits atop a hill is spectacular example of early twentieth century architecture.
Unfortunately the college was closed in 1978 and has since been turned into private residences.
look for the roadside marker to the Webster Stagecoach Stop and Store historical marker. The 1820 era building has been moved away from the road to help in its preservation but is still easily viewed from Sandown Road.
The Cannon Mountain Aerial Tram is located in Franconia Notch State Park. For $19.00 you get a round trip ticket up to the summit of the 4080 foot Cannon Mountain in the 80 passenger cable car.
At the top of the mountain there is a snack bar and observation deck.
The Bump Bridge in Campton was built in 1972 by the famous bridge expert and builder Arnold Graton and spans the Beebe River.
The bridge is in a pleasant rural setting surrounded by farmers fields.
The Blair Covered Bridge in Campton, New Hampshire was built in 1869 and spans the Pemigewasset River.
There is a small parking area next to the bridge and some good side views are possible.
Across the street from the parking area next to the bridge there is a restaurant The Covered bridge Farm Table.
