Taste Test – Boka Gourmet Beef Jerky

Boka Gourmet out of Simi Valley, California is the manufacturer of beef jerky and spice blends. We ordered some jerky through mail order to give them a try since Alex and I both love jerky as a snack. We purchased four different flavors of jerky.
The Korean style BBQ was slightly sweet with a mixture of asian spices.

Alex and I both thought this was the best jerky we ever had. The flavor was great but I love the texture of Boka’s jerky as well. The meat is not as leathery as you will find with many brands but soft while still being chewy.
The Sesame Garlic Teriyaki was also very good with prominent garlic and sesame notes.

The Thai Chili Lime variety was slightly spicy with a pronounced lime flavor coming through.

Alex didn’t mind the spiciness but did not like the lime flavor, I thought it was just the right mixture of spice and citrus flavorings.
The last one we tried was the Spicy Hot Teriyaki, Alex got a glass of milk ready just in case.

It turned out not to be too spicy although it did have nice kick. Overall these jerky samples met with both of our approvals and we will definitely reorder again.
