Rhine Falls – Switzerland

The Rhine Falls are Europe’s largest waterfall and although not really comparable to some of North America’s more spectacular falls is still very impressive. The falls which were formed during the last ice age have been a tourist attraction for centuries and were part of the European Grand Tour. The falls receive one million visitors per year on average. The falls are located in northern Switzerland about 25 kilometers from the German border.
