Nick’s Place in Raymond is a casual counter service restaurant with an eclectic menu of fried seafood, subs, pizza and some Greek specialities. The menu is very large with quite a few options. They have a smallish sit-down area but also do a big takeout business. They are one of the few establishments that do home delivery in the area,
You order food at the counter and then take a seat. When we were there the food was brought over to the table when it was ready.
Rita had steak tips which were good but not exceptional.
We both thought the onion rings were very good with the fries being typical frozen variety.
I had scallops and clam strips which were good but not what I would call “seacoast fresh.”
The convenience of having home delivery living out in the deep suburbs like we do make this a good option for us when we need something for supper quickly. We have found the delivery times to be very responsive averaging 30-45 minutes.
We have sampled several different pizzas and they have been good. Typical Greek style, a little greasy with a soggy thin crust.
The wings were a wing-ding type nothing special.
The chicken fingers were whole white meat breaded but a bit dry.
The subs were OK typical sub shop.
