Woodford State Park about 10 miles outside the Bennington city center offers day use facilities including a swimming beach and has 103 campsites. The 398 acre park sits at an elevation of 2400 feet in the foothills of the Green Mountains. Close to the day use parking area is the swimming spot. There is not much sand as the lake abuts a grassy lawn.
Several trails are within the park.
Some of the campsites are very nice right on the lakeside.
