We purchased some fresh anchovies in olive oil from The Tuscan Market in Salem, New Hampshire during a recent visit. Alex likes canned sardines and when he was in Portugal he had some fresh sardines that he loved. We wanted to see if these were up to his expectations. We ate the anchovies plain on a ritz cracker to get the full flavor. Alex liked them but they did not blow him away and I did not care for them as I am not a fan of canned fish.
