Drift by Simon A. Forward is the 49th novel in the BBC Past Doctor Adventures. It features the Fourth Doctor and Leela taking place between the TV stories The Talons of Weng-Chiang and The Horror of Fang Rock in the Doctor’s timeline.
Living in New Hampshire I was quite looking forward to this novel unfortunately it could have been set in any snowy location with no discerning features evident. I found the novel very slow going with The Doctor and Leela split up for most of the novel and teamed up with a myriad of side characters I had little interest in. 6 out of 10.
