Lafayette’s Tour Historical Marker – Derry, New Hampshire

From July 1824 to September 1825, the French Marquis de Lafayette, the last surviving major general of the American Revolutionary War, made a tour of the 24 states in the United States. New Hampshire has memorialized the visit with historical markers highlighting locations he visited in the granite state. He visited The Adams Female Academy, dined at Redfield’s Tavern and visited General E.H. Derby in Derry.
