The grounds are wonderful to stroll and to have a picnic lunch but be sure to look into the house tours in the Welcome Center. The house is not only a great way to experience the Georgian revival architecture but there are also a great many Abraham Lincoln artifacts in the residence. Be sure to look out for one of his top hats and the hall mirror that he would have looked into right before he headed off to Ford’s Theater.
