The Chandler Hovey Park is located on a point sticking out from the north shore town of Marblehead, Massachusetts. The park has great views of the harbor and during the summer it is a good place to watch yacht racing or practice.
The town of Marblehead has the feel of the quintessential New England historic town. Window shop, eat at any of the fine seafood restaurants in the area or stay in one of the many inns. After exploring the town grab a picnic lunch and sit on the grass in the park and watch the boats.
The current light dates from 1895 and replaced the original brick and wood lighthouse first erected in 1835.
