In the 1990s during the “Wilderness Years” when Doctor Who was off the air BBV productions produced some audio adventures using some of the same actors that were in the series. This along with the novels, Big Finish and some non-licensed productions helped keep Doctor Who alive during this dry spell for the TV show. It is one of the main reasons I am such an Uber-fan of the series. All of the varied media alongside the show creates an interconnected tableau of one cohesive universe with everything canon. BBV has released novelizations of some of their audios.
