Mount Saint Mary College Historic Site – Hooksett, New Hampshire

Mount Saint Mary College in Hooksett was a Roman Catholic college for women founded in 1935. The facade of the college as it sits atop a hill is spectacular example of early twentieth century architecture.

Unfortunately the college was closed in 1978 and has since been turned into private residences.

look for the roadside marker to the Webster Stagecoach Stop and Store historical marker. The 1820 era building has been moved away from the road to help in its preservation but is still easily viewed from Sandown Road.

Cannon Mountain Aerial Tram – Franconia Notch State Park, New Hampshire

The Cannon Mountain Aerial Tram is located in Franconia Notch State Park. For $19.00 you get a round trip ticket up to the summit of the 4080 foot Cannon Mountain in the 80 passenger cable car.
