The Bear Notch Road is an often overlooked scenic vista for people exploring the Kancamagus Highway region of New Hampshire. The mountain views are some of the best in the state especially during foliage season. The road is seasonal only and cuts a nine mile swath from the Kancamagus Highway above Lower Falls and Rocky Gorge to NH Route 302 in Bartlett, New Hampshire. The road also provides a good bypass of the heavy traffic going through Conway and North Conway. It is your chance to see leaves and mountains instead of people.
