As you proceed along the Park Loop Road on the Schoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia National Park to your right you will see an island in the bay with a picturesque light house prominent on the island.
The Winter Harbor Light was established in 1856 but is not open to the public. You can get good views from the road with the best shots using a telescopic lens.
