Portsmouth & Concord Railroad Historic Marker – Hooksett, New Hampshire

The Portsmouth & Concord Railroad connected the two main north-south railroad lines Boston to Concord and Boston to Maine. In 1845 this line was established as the major east-west line in New Hampshire.
