My first car was a hand me down from my mother a 1975 brown Ford Maverick\. It was the car I learned to drive in and the one that I drove to university. When Alex and Rita were in Brazil they spotted this Maverick not knowing my history with the car make. The car was manufactured from 1970 to 1977 in the US and was launched in 1973 in Brazil.

Taste Test – Açaí Ice Cream
Found on açaí palm trees in South American rainforests, açaí berries are a lot like grapes. The seed takes up about 80% of the berry, but the flesh and skin pack plenty of vitamins and other nutrients in the remaining 20%. It has become popular as a “superfood” in recent years. Alex tried some Açaí ice cream when in Brazil.

Classic Cars in the Wild – 1960’s Volkswagen Beetle Herbie The Love Bug Replica (Arapongas, Parana, Brazil)
