Sal’s Pizza in Derry is a pizza chain that was first established in 1990. I like their thin crust pizza and find this to be one of the best pizzas in our general area.

The tall ships that were showcased this year at the Sail Portsmouth event were the Kalmar Nyckel, the Spirit of Bermuda, and the Lynx. The Kalmar Nyckel is a replica by the same name of the ship that brought the first Swedish colonists to America in 1638.
Wrap City Sandwich Company in Derry is a sandwich shop serving up regional and international wraps, sandwiches, salads and flatbreads.

We decided to show Alex and his friend Katie one of the quintessential 1980s movies “The Goonies.” Chunkys in Manchester was having a showing so we decided to take in the show.
The kids were a little old for the “treasure hunt” and it was just as well. It was heartbreaking to see little 6 and 7 year olds looking for their treasure boxes and not finding any. We even heard the attendants asking themselves why there were so few available. You would thing management would err on the side of too many so as to not disappoint the chikdren, Chunkys is a movie theater with tables where food and drinks are available during the show. We arrived early and ordered food prior to the movie starting.
Food was not bad
The Center Scoop is an ice cream shop conveniently located in Chester about half way between Rita’s work and our home in Raymond. They are seasonal but in the summer Alex and I will stop of for an icy treat on days we are meeting Rita at work.
