Not our name, but our passion
We took Alex and his friend Katie to the car show at the New England Dragway in Epping. There a few muscle cars on display and a smattering of older vehicles but it was somewhat underwhelming.
The Oldsmobile 4-4-2 (also known as the 442) is a muscle car produced by Oldsmobile between the 1964 and 1987 model years. Introduced as an option package for US-sold F-85 and Cutlass models, it became a model in its own right from 1968 to 1971, spawned the Hurst/Olds in 1968, then reverted to an option through the mid-1970s. The “4-4-2” name derives from the original car’s four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, and dual exhausts. We were lucky enough to see this beauty while driving in downtown Lowell, Massachusetts.
Located in the historic district of downtown Lowell The Athenian Corner Restaurant is housed in a spectacular old building on Market Street adjacent to the visitor center for the Lowell National Historical Park.
June 2922 and the day before Alex’s middle school graduation he fell and broke his ankle! After a trip to the emergency he was fitted with a splint and crutches so he could attend his graduation the next day. He was able to make his way to school where they provided him with a wheelchair.
