We keep a variety of Galil‘s ready to eat products on hand when we need a quick side dish to accompany a quick dinner.
The product can be eaten cold right out of the tin but we prefer it heated up. Alex mixes it with his rice. A nice fried flavor with mild spices. 8 out of 10.
These dried strawberries from Happy Village are sourced from Turkey. Dried fruit was a staple on my canoe trips back in the day and my favorite was always the strawberries. This brand is sweetened with concentrated apple juice.
Dried strawberries are chewy with a slight gritty texture due to the seeds. The sweetness can vary from brand to brand with these being moderately sweet
Our MunchPak shipment for March 2023. We had high hopes for this box as the previous couple of months had the highest score of any of out snack subscription boxes. As it turned out however we rated the box one of our all time lowest scores. Alex 6.44 out of 10 and Joe 6.13 out of 10. If this was one of our first MunchPak boxes we would probably have canceled our subscription as we do not like the fact that there is no theme to the box with the snacks coming from many different countries and not one location.
Mayasi Puff Paw – cheesy puff snack from Indonesia
Alex 9 Joe-6
Oh Ma Grain Sea Salt from Indonesia – puffed rice snack
Alex-4 Joe-5
Oishi Shrimp Chips from Indonesia
Alex-7 Joe-6
Kamyczki Orzechowe from Poland – sugar coated peanut candy
This MunchPak shipment is the first of two that arrived in February? Countries sampled this time were the same ones as last month; China, Japan, The Philippines, Turkey, Thailand, Korea, Italy and Mexico. I find the quality of the snacks in these boxes to be quite good but the lack of variety of countries from month to month is a definite drawback for a continued subscription. For the first time Alex and I got the exact same score for a subscription box 6.93 out of 10. The quality of these snacks is better than any other subscription boxes we received from Universal Yums or SnackCrate. If you just want a box of snacks to enjoy in front of the TV this box might be just for you. If you want more of an educational element for your kids I would suggest another subscription service.
