Isaac Blasdel was an early American clock maker (1738-1791) from Chester, New Hampshire. Blasdel was a revolutionary war soldier and a town selectman. The English clock maker William Clement is credited with inventing the “grandfather style” clock in 1670 and Blasdel and others perfected the style.
